Libby Boscoe, MD

PGY5

Hometown: Denver, CO

Professional Interests: I am currently undecided. I have interests in general otolaryngology as well as facial plastics and pediatrics.

Hobbies: I grew up as a figure skater and still enjoy skating as well as coaching ice skating. I am an avid skiier and love being in the mountains every chance I can. In the summer I enjoy road biking. I also enjoy cooking and experimenting with recipies. Family is very important to me and you'll often find me hanging out with my nieces and nephews.

What are your favorite things to do in the Denver area? Denver is an amazing city! It has an excellent food scene. I love trying any new restaurants in town, as well as the many delicious ice cream shops. I also enjoy a good microbrewery and there are definitely plenty to choose from. Denver has a great zoo and some awesome museums. I love the months when the farmers markets are up and running and always enjoy hanging out in the sunshine at any of the many beautiful parks in town. When I'm not in the city, I try to head up to the mountains to enjoy the fresh air and wonderful scenery.

What did you do before Otolaryngology? I worked for a dermatologist for two years, prior to starting medical school. When I started medical school I knew I wanted to go into otolaryngology because of my major choice in college (speech, language and hearing science). I was drawn to the ENT program at CU because of the variety of patients treated and clinical settings residents worked in. I loved how strong the residents' exposure was to every subspecialty area. I also loved the focus on resident education and the commitment of the program to listening to its residents and making changes to improve the quality of their education and training.
