Support Groups/Organizations

The University of Colorado Brain Tumor Support Group meets form 5-7:00 pm at the Anschutz Outpatient pavilion in room 2006 the first Wednesday of every month. Caregivers are encouraged to attend even if the person they are caring for is not in attendence. Light snacks and refreshments are provided. This group is facilitated by Wendy Clyne, PsyD and Susanne Cook, RN. For additional information please call 720-848-0316.

The American Brain Tumor Association (ABTA) is a recognized resource for comprehensive, up-to-date information and support for the brain tumor patients, families and caregivers who are living with this disease.  They provide critical funding to researchers working toward breakthroughs in brain tumor diagnosis, treatment and care, with the ultimate goal of finding a cure.

The Acoustic Neuroma Association provides information and support to patients who have been diagnosed with or experienced an acoustic neuroma or other benign problem affecting the cranial nerves. 

The Brain Tumor Foundation For Children, Inc.  is dedicated to helping children with brain and spinal cord tumors and their families. They provide financial assistance, social support, and information for families of children with brain and spinal cord tumors; fund research projects that improve treatment options and search for a cure; and raise public awareness of the disease and advocate on behalf of children with brain tumors.  

The National Brain Tumor Society  is a comprehensive resource for patients, families, caregivers, researchers and medical professionals.  They bring together research and patient services.  

The Children's Brain Tumor Foundation's mission is to improve the treatment, quality of life and the long term outlook for children with brain and spinal cord tumors through research, support, education, and advocacy to families and survivors.
