MHA and CU-AMC Students Thank Our Donors
Students in multiple professional and graduate programs hosted the Donor Memorial Ceremony on April 24th
Jun 16, 2025
The Modern Human Anatomy Program joined our CU-AMC professional programs to host the 2025 Donor Memorial Ceremony. MHA 1st year class co-presidents, Harrison Freels and Lauren Verhulst, served on the Donor Memorial Ceremony (DMC) organization committee, facilitated by Nicole Tabugadir in the Office of Student Affairs. The annual Donor Memorial Ceremony is organized and conducted by CU-AMC students, and the DMC honors the gift of our donors to further education on the CU-AMC campus and throughout the state of Colorado. The DMC is a very meaningful event for the families of the donors and our CU-AMC students, faculty, and staff.
As Lauren Verhulst describes, "Thinking about the Donor Memorial Ceremony...I feel very lucky to have been a part of it! It's truly one of the best events I have witnessed in a long time, and an experience I will never forget! I'm so incredibly proud of my class for showing up, both with ready hands to help and also with amazing stories from the night. Thank you to everyone involved and for our amazing Donors and families—without you, we would be just another graduate school class, and we have all been lucky enough to know and be so much more! This makes a whole lot of it worth it!"
Thank you to the MHA and CU-AMC student volunteers and attendees for honoring our donors and the families who give so much to our campus and student education.
