Catherine Williams is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker and the VA Liaison for the Marcus Institute for Brian Health and the Department of Veterans Affairs. Catherine received her Master’s Degree in Social Work and undergraduate degree in Psychology from the University of Texas at Austin and has been working in the field as a clinical social worker for 20 years. She first started her career advocating for children and families in the legal system before joining the Department of Veterans Affairs in 2012. Catherine started with the VA at the Austin Outpatient Clinic in Austin, TX and spent almost seven years in the HUD-VASH program working with government agencies and community partners to end Veteran homelessness. In February 2019 Catherine relocated to Denver CO and joined the Suicide Prevention Team at the Rocky Mountain Regional VA before transitioning into the role of VA Liaison for MIBH in May 2020. When not working, she enjoys spending time outdoors, with her dogs, family and friends.
