Please join us for the 2nd Annual UCH Quality & Safety Symposium on Wednesday, March 11th, 2020 @ 4-6 in the Bruce Schroffel Conference Center (AIP2) during National Patient Safety Awareness Week. The IHI created this annual recognition week to advance safety discussions and inspire action to improve safety. Our annual symposium is an opportunity for trainees, faculty and staff to showcase the outstanding quality and safety work being done at our hospital and clinics.
The event will kick off with a keynote address by patient advocate Carole Hemmelgarn, who shares a powerful story on the importance of listening to patients and families and the impact they have on improving safety and preventing harm. She will be joined by Dr. Jeffrey Glasheen, UCHealth Chief Quality Officer, to lead a discussion on preventing medical errors and share a new UCH initiative to include patients in our safety work. Refreshments will be provided!
