Amelia Bowman, M.D.

Amelia is a Colorado native born and raised in Denver, Colorado. She attended medical school and residency at the University of Colorado within the Hospitalist Training Program. Her ICU experiences during residency led to her unique interests in Pulmonary and Critical Care Medicine, which she hopes to pursue moving forward. When not practicing medicine, Amelia likes to swim, run, ski, and spend time with her family and dog. 

 

 

 

Daniel Gergen, M.D. Gergen_Daniel_114

Daniel grew up in Austin, Texas and attended medical school at Georgetown University. He completed his Internal Medicine Residency at the University of Colorado within the Categorical Track and Clinical Educator Pathway. Alongside him, his wife Anna is currently completing her residency within General Surgery at the University of Colorado. During his residency, he developed passionate interests for ICU medical education and curriculum design, which he hopes to continue long-term after a fellowship in Pulmonary and Critical Care Medicine. Outside of the hospital, you may find Daniel playing a pick-up game of basketball, visiting a Denver brewery, hiking/trail running, or cheering on the University of Texas football and basketball teams.

Cory McGee, M.D.

Cory grew up in Mobile, Alabama, and attended the University of South Alabama (USA) College of Medicine. Cory, his wife, and three sons moved to Colorado where he completed his Internal Medicine Residency within the Categorical Track. He is working on epidemiologic research of IBD patients on TNF-I and would like to continue this pursuit within a Rheumatology fellowship. While he is a passionate clinician and researcher, he loves finding ways to be active (skiing, running, hiking, fishing, or playing soccer), spending time with his family, watching Alabama football, and listening to live music.

Meara is a Colorado Native and grew up in Pueblo, Colorado. She attended the University of Colorado for medical school and residency within the Primary Care Track. Throughout residency, she identified her areas of interest in communication, shared decision making, health innovation, and health systems design. Meara is truly passionate about Geriatric Medicine and is excited to pursue a future fellowship in this area. When not at the hospital, she loves traveling, eating, playing tennis and golf, cooking, hiking, and doing anything with her yellow lab, Chaco. She is happy to announce she and her husband (who happens to also be her high school sweetheart) are expecting their first son in August.

Sneha grew up in India before relocating to Chicago, Illinois. She attended medical school at the Medical College of Wisconsin and then transitioned to Colorado for residency. While following the Hospitalist Training Track during residency, she developed her unique interests in end-of-life discussions both in the inpatient and outpatient settings, resident well-being, and work-life balance. She hopes to focus her career on Medical Education as an Academic Hospitalist in the years to come. Sneha’s hobbies include caring for and learning about plants, yoga, fantasy football, Indian culture, constantly thinking about food, and spending time with her partner who is a cellist.

Ben grew up in the west suburbs of Chicago, Illinois, and attended medical school at Indiana University School of Medicine. During his residency at the University of Colorado within the Primary Care Track, he developed his passions for Special Olympics and Medical Education. In the future, he plans to focus his career in primary care, underserved medicine, and addiction medicine. In his free time, Ben likes to mountain bike, ski, practice woodworking, and spend time with his wife and two cats, Hector and Rey.

Eric grew up in Blue Bell, Pennsylvania, right near Philadelphia. He attended medical school at the University of Rochester and eventually made his way to Colorado for residency within the Categorical Track and Medical Leaders Pathway. Eric plans to pursue a cardiology fellowship where he can expand his interests in health services, QI, improvement science, and entrepreneurship. In addition to his special career interests, Eric enjoys seeing live music, hiking, skiing, cooking, watching sports (mainly NBA & NFL), golfing, making pottery, playing with his cat, Phil, and celebrating his recent marriage.
