2021-22 Medicine Grand Rounds ScheduleDepartment of Medicine Sep 3, 2021
This year’s speakers includes 24 of our own expert faculty from the University of Colorado as well as an impressive list of colleagues from other institutions. Outside speakers this year include Drs. Paul Farmer, Quinn Capers, Vin Gupta, Rana Awdish, Harlan Krumholz, Ava Aagaard, Mark Geraci, Esteban Burchard, and a host of other nationally-renowned experts. It should be a great year of learning across all of internal medicine.
We will continue to host Grand Rounds virtually through at least January (we’ll reassess the ability to gather in person for the second half of the year). We look forward to your participation and lively discussions. Our goal for this year is to double faculty and trainee participation over the past several years. Medical Grand Rounds will not always be in our exact areas of practice, but all of the internal and external speakers this year have lessons and pearls that can be of benefit to all our clinicians, scientists, educators, and trainees.
This year, we are also pleased to announce that Grand Rounds participants will have the opportunity to earn CME and MOC credit. The School of Medicine is accredited by the Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education (ACCME) to provide continuing medical education for physicians.
All CME credit earned from participating in the Department of Medicine’s Grand Rounds also counts for ABIM MOC points through the “CME that earns MOC” collaboration between the ABIM and ACCME. Consistent attendees can earn upward of 35 or more MOC points over the coming 12 months.
We look forward to seeing you there.
