Congratulations to the Fellowship Class of 2021Jun 18, 2021
While the COVID-19 pandemic could not stop us from celebrating last years graduating fellows virtually, it did prevent us from gathering in person which is why this years graduation was extra special! For the first time in more than a year fellows and faculty came together in person to celebrate this years fellowship graduates, Chris Geiger, MD, Frank Hall, MD, Jodi Kagihara, MD, and Becca Shay, DO. Each of these graduates will undoubtedly achieve great things throughout the course of their careers as a result of their dedication and commitment to innovative cancer research and outstanding compassionate patient care.
Dr. Geiger has accepted a hybrid position between the University of Colorado, Division of Medical Oncology and the RMR VAMC where he will be specializing in GU oncology at CU and general hematology/oncology at the RMR VAMC. Dr. Hall will be taking his skills to Northern Colorado, where he will be working with Banner Healthcare. Dr. Shay has accepted a position in the Denver Metro area with Kaiser. Dr. Kagihara is returning to her home state of Hawaii where she will specialize in breast cancer while working with the University of Hawaii to make clinical trials more accessible.
Congratulations to the fellowship class of 2021!
