Purpose

This Request for Applications (RFA) is issued by the University of Colorado Boulder, the BioFrontiers Institute, and the Linda Crnic Institute for Down Syndrome to fund postdoctoral fellows at the Boulder campus working on innovative projects addressing Down syndrome. Sie Foundation Postdoctoral Fellowship applications should utilize modern, advanced techniques to further our mechanistic understanding of developmental and clinical features of Down syndrome and/or develop diagnostic or therapeutic tools to improve health outcomes for people with Down syndrome. Applications should advance the mission and vision of the Crnic Institute, as well as the larger Down syndrome research community, and recipients will be encouraged to take the project with them when they begin independent faculty positions. 

 

Award Information

Awards will consist of two years of salary and research support. Salary support levels will be defined by experience and qualifications and will be competitive with current NIH Ruth L. Kirschstein National Research Service Award (NRSA) Stipends. The awardee will also receive $8K to be allocated for research supplies, travel, and/or publication costs over the two-year period.
