Improving Access to Care for Children with ASD/DD by Increasing Community Capacity

This webinar will describe a project aimed to improve access to care for children with ASD/DD, targeting underserved urban, rural, and frontier regions of the State of Colorado. This project involves provider education, capacity building, technical assistance, and direct care. We will review components of this program, reduction in wait list, provider satisfaction, and perception of self-efficacy. We also will review how the pandemic resulted in adaptations to the care provided.
- Discuss multi-modal project to improve access to care for children with ASD/DD
- Review progress made to increase knowledge and competence of community providers to identify and manage children with ASD/DD within their Medical Home
- Discuss successes, challenges, and plans for future education and support for our community partners
Target Audience: Health care workers, service providers and other personnel who care for children with ASD/DD.
