Gerri Steinke, PhD, is a Senior Clinical Instructor of Pediatrics and the core grant writer and evaluator for two federally-funded JFK Partners programs—the Leadership Education in Neurodevelopmental Disabilities (LEND) and University Center for Excellence in Developmental Disabilities (UCEDD) programs. Dr. Steinke is a psychologist with expertise in program development, evaluation, and research in health and mental health services. Previously, Dr. Steinke wrote and evaluated federal grants for the CU College of Nursing to support the National Resource Center for Health and Safety in Child Care and Early Education, as well as graduate nursing leadership education and dual degree programs. For more than a decade, she also designed and conducted a CDC-funded assessment of all states’ evolving childcare regulations supporting obesity prevention (Achieving a State of Health Weight). Prior to relocating to Colorado, Dr. Steinke was the Assistant Director of Program Development and Evaluation for a borough-wide New York City community mental health center.
