Nuri Reyes, Ph.D. is a licensed clinical psychologist. She joined JFK Partners in July 2012, as a Clinical Psychology intern, and then as post-doctoral fellow. Currently, she is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Pediatrics at the University of Colorado, Anschutz Medical Campus. Prior to coming to JFK, Dr. Reyes completed her Ph.D. in Clinical Psychology at Virginia Tech, and her BA in Psychology and a minor in Applied Developmental Psychology at the University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA). Dr. Reyes’ background includes professional and academic training and concentration in early child development and mental health in clinical and research setting. Her previous research experience has included studies with individuals with developmental delays, intellectual disability, autism spectrum disorder, and typical development. Her current research focuses on social and emotional development of children, evidence-based interventions for young children, and experiences of Latino families and their children with autism. She has presented at multiple local, national, and international professional conferences about Autism Spectrum Disorder. She is a member of the International Society for Autism Research (INSAR), Society of Clinical Child and Adolescent Psychology (APA Division 53), and Society for a Science in Clinical Psychology (SSCP).
