Kristina Hightshoe, MSPH, Research Instructor, has been with the University of Colorado Anschutz Medical Campus since 1999. She got her MSPH, Public Health from the University of Colorado Health Sciences Center in 2002 and her BA in Anthropology from the University of Colorado Boulder in 1998. She has extensive experience coordinating research projects within diverse communities in collaboration with local, state, and national partners. Her research focus has primarily been autism and related developmental disabilities; she has presented and published on these topics. Ms. Hightshoe currently manages the Colorado site of the CDC-funded Study to Explore Early Development (SEED) Follow-Up Study, with the goal of better understanding ASD as children become adolescents and young adults. She also coordinates the Project Supporting Colorado Children’s Early Emotional Development (Project SUCCEED), a SAMHSA-funded Mental Health Awareness Training grant. Ms. Hightshoe is the Public Health Discipline Director for JFK Partners’ Leadership Education in Neurodevelopmental Disabilities (LEND) Program.
