Dr. Hernandez received her undergraduate degree from Colorado State University and her clinical Doctor of Physical Therapy degree from the University of Colorado Anschutz Medical Campus. She completed two years of post-professional clinical training, which included graduating from the University of Colorado Pediatric Physical Therapy Residency Program and the LEND fellowship. She is currently working towards an advanced degree of a Doctor of Education in Leadership in Educational Equity from the University of Colorado Denver. Dr. Hernandez has a clinical interest in providing transdisciplinary early intervention services to medically complex and neurodiverse children and families in the Denver metro area. Her scholarly agenda is focused on ways to optimize the engagement of students in physical therapy education through the use of technology and adult learning principles, particularly on ways to foster the development of the Master Adaptive Learner.
