The Division of Hospital Medicine at the University of Colorado Hospital is an established national leader driven by its mission. Our group is comprised of 120+ physicians, 55+ advanced providers, 13 fellows, and 15 data/administrative staff. DHM providers include generalist & sub-specialty clinicians in Medicine, Oncology, Geriatrics, Neurology, Stroke, Orthopedics and care for 40% of all patients at the University of Colorado Hospital.

Our History

Founded in 2003 by Dr. Jeffrey Glasheen​, the Division has a proven track record in developing visionary leaders locally, regionally and nationally in clinical care and healthcare delivery, leadership, education and scholarly activity. Our decade-plus journey has seen the DHM develop the nation’s most comprehensive menu of training options in hospital medicine as we offer several formal hospitalist training programs ranging from the undergraduate to the faculty level.

The DHM continues to increase its academic footprint largely in part to the “Road-Map for Success in Academics” that provides members with a progressive pathway for the production of scholarship.
