Bio

I’m originally from Slovakia (formerly part of Czechoslovakia). I’m happy to be part of HCTU (2026) to support our patients and the hematology department research! I graduated from medical school in Slovakia before moving to the United States, where I later earned my Master of Public Health from the University of Colorado Anschutz. I’ve been happily married to my husband, Zach, and our family’s journey has taken us through Alabama, Missouri, California, and now Colorado. Along the way, I worked in research and public health and raised our four wonderful children (three boys and one girl).

I love spending time with my family, friends, and pets, exploring new places, spending time in the kitchen, and gardening. Every New Year, I promise myself I'll start exercising - and I like to think that one year I actually will. An interesting fact about me is that I can function quite well as a general contractor. I always appreciate a good sense of humor, a necessity for a busy household and a happy life.
