The facility recently announced the manufacture of a recombinant protein - Alzheimer’s disease vaccine for the Institute for Molecular Medicine’s Clinical Trials.
The Gates Center for Regenerative Medicine and its partners built the state-of-the-art Gates Biomanufacturing Facility in 2015 to be able to help on-and-off campus investigators translate innovative research discoveries into safe and effective cell therapy and protein products for use in clinical trials. We now have the manufacturing capability and campus infrastructure with which to benefit patients with no other viable therapeutic options!

Since 2015, 162 interns have engaged in research and learned about the field of regenerative medicine through this successful internship program.
Thanks to the heartfelt and generous support of Gates Center friends Rhondda and the late Peter Grant and others, the Gates Summer Internship Program (GSIP), highlighted in this video, launches a new season. Each year, the program selects and encourages outstanding undergraduates from around the country and beyond to consider careers in biomedical research and regenerative medicine.
Although the Gates Center for Regenerative Medicine's mission is to support brilliant researchers and clinicians in order to accelerate their discoveries from the lab through clinical trials to therapies and cures, the Center does not provide direct patient care or conduct clinical trials.
The Gates Center community joins together annually to savor food and camaraderie and reflect upon the year’s progress and those who have made it possible.
