The Gates Center for Regenerative Medicine brings together and supports brilliant researchers and clinicians in stem cell biology and regenerative medicine in order to accelerate discoveries from the lab through clinical trials to therapies and cures.
Thanks to the heartfelt and generous support of Gates Center friends Rhondda and the late Peter Grant and others, the Gates Summer Internship Program (GSIP), highlighted in this video, launches a new season. Each year, the program selects and encourages outstanding undergraduates from around the country and beyond to consider careers in biomedical research and regenerative medicine.
We are pleased to accept applications for the Class of 2022 between Wednesday, December 1, 2021, and Tuesday, February 1, 2022.
The Gates Center for Regenerative Medicine and its partners built the state-of-the-art Gates Biomanufacturing Facility in 2015 to be able to help on-and-off campus investigators translate innovative research discoveries into safe and effective cell therapy and protein products for use in clinical trials. We now have the manufacturing capability and campus infrastructure with which to benefit patients with no other viable therapeutic options!
On Wednesday, August 26, 2020, in lieu of gathering together at a bona fife 2020 Charlie’s Picnic, we celebrated a herd of angels that made 2020 a memorable year. There were opening remarks, a video showcasing our front-line angels and a final Gates Center toast!
Although the Gates Center for Regenerative Medicine's mission is to support brilliant researchers and clinicians in order to accelerate their discoveries from the lab through clinical trials to therapies and cures, the Center does not provide direct patient care or conduct clinical trials.
