We will be accepting applications for the Class of 2023 through February 6th.
The Gates Summer Internship Program (GSIP) is open to applicants from all backgrounds who are in a science-related major and are enrolled in an undergraduate program at the time of application. Former GSIP interns are encouraged to apply.
We welcome students from traditionally underrepresented groups in biomedical research, such as African American, Hispanic/Latinx, American Indian/Alaska Native/Native Pacific Islander, first-generation college students who are economically disadvantaged and students with disabilities. Students from rural or inner-city areas with limited access to research opportunities are also encouraged to apply. Information on Diversity and Inclusion at the University of Colorado Anschutz Medical Campus can be found here.
GSIP is open to international students who possess an F1 visa.
In addition to an online application, all GSIP applicants are required to provide the following documents:

2. CV or Resume – Applicants should detail their experience, academic background, research, awards, publications, presentations, community service, skills and credentials.
3. Transcript(s) – Applicants will need to upload a copy of their unofficial transcript. Please note that official transcripts may be required upon acceptance.
