Our Team

Thank you for your interest in the Endocrinology Fellowship training program at the University of Colorado! We offer a rich training experience that encompasses the entire spectrum of clinical endocrinology, as well as diverse research opportunities, all in a beautiful location that known for its phenomenal skiing and hiking.

Our core training facilities include 3 teaching hospitals: the University of Colorado Hospital (UCH), the Rocky Mountain Regional VA Medical Center (RMR VAMC), and Denver Health Medical Center (DHMC). The University of Colorado is consistently ranked among the top hospitals for Diabetes and Endocrinology in the nation by U.S. News & World Report. The CU Endocrine Division is also one of the largest in the country with over 70 faculty who are committed to teaching and mentoring fellows.

Although all of our fellows receive broad, in-depth clinical training in endocrinology and diabetes, we are also able to tailor the fellowship experience according to the clinical and/or research interests and anticipated career path of each individual. We offer a 2-year clinician-educator pathway and a 3-year research track (with research focused 2nd and 3rd years), which share an identical first year. We do not require fellows to determine their chosen track until mid-way through the first year of fellowship. This adds flexibility and acknowledges that an individual’s goals or interests may change after starting fellowship training.

We welcome your interest in the University of Colorado Endocrine Fellowship training program! As a graduate of our fellowship program myself, I can attest to the outstanding training environment that our program provides.

The unique combination of a university-based hospital with a wide referral base, a county-based hospital serving an underserved  population, and a VA hospital serving a large geographical region allows for exposure to a  wide range of endocrine disorders. In addition, our faculty have diverse clinical and  research interests, with many national leaders in their areas of expertise.

We have several multidisciplinary clinics (diabetes, pituitary, transgender care, and NAFLD), providing the opportunity to also learn from experts outside of the Endocrine division. Our faculty are highly committed to teaching and mentoring, as well as supporting the wellness of our trainees. Colorado is a beautiful place to live, with ample opportunities to enjoy the  outdoors  colleagues, friends and family!
