Personalized Medicine and Substance Abuse Research Program
Dr. Andrew A. Monte, MD, PhD and Dr. Jessica L. Saben, PhD are faculty members in the University of Colorado Department Of Emergency Medicine. Their research program has two main concentrations:
- Precision medicine in acute care, such as in the emergency department (ED)
- Substance abuse focused primarily on cannabinoids
Dr. Monte sees patients clinically as an attending physician in the ED, as a medical toxicology consultant, and in medical toxicology clinic. Dr. Monte also performs medical-legal and industry consultation for emergency or medical toxicology related topics.
Dr. Saben is the program manager for these research activities. Dr. Saben is responsible for industry initiated clinical study coordination, research project oversight, and scientific project development in conjunction with Dr. Monte.
