The Center serves as a resource to healthcare professionals and institutions, emergency providers, decision makers and funding sources on health emergency preparedness. Conduct research in health emergency preparedness, disseminating findings through
peer-reviewed venues, develop, and improve comprehensive evidence based performance measures for health emergency preparedness.
The Center ran a Cult rural Vulnerability Assessment (CVA) research project with IRB approval resulting in a report
and three (3) pending publications. The Center is looking for continuation funding to keep this project moving ahead.
Conduct hazard vulnerability analyses, social vulnerability assessments, risk management strategies, continuity of operations analyses, readiness assessments and gap analyses.
