Signal pathways mediating autocrine growth of cancer cells and resistance to targeted therapeutics

To use molecular biology and pharmacological inhibitors to identify specific growth factors, receptor tyrosine kinases and signaling enzymes mediating autocrine growth of lung cancer cells as well as mechanisms of resistance to targeted therapeutics.
Students will employ the following laboratory procedures:
