For two decades, this annual symposium has brought together health care providers – physicians, nurses, medical students, specialists and more – to enhance their understanding of women’s health and sex and gender differences and strengthen the care they provide.

Target audience:  Healthcare providers - physicians, nurses, medical students, specialists and those interested in enhancing their understanding of women's health and sex/gender differences. 

Program Overview: This program is designed to meet the educational needs of physicians, physician assistants, nurse practitioners, nurses, medical students, cardiac rehabilitation specialists, diabetes educators, and many others involved in women’s health.

Course objectives:  

At the end of this activity, learners will be able to:

  • Counseling patients on cardiovascular disease prevention topics.
  • Chronic pain management in female patients.
  • Long COVID? Sex differences for patients.
  • Reducing disparities in maternal mortality.
  • Sleep apnea in women.
  • Female specific cardiovascular risk enhancers.

The University of Colorado School of Medicine designates this live activity for a maximum of 4.5 AMA PRA Category 1 CreditsTM.   Physicians should claim only the credit commensurate with the extent of their participation in this activity.
 
Successful completion of this CME activity, which includes participation in the evaluation component, enables the participant to earn up to 4.5 Medical Knowledge MOC points in the American Board of Internal Medicine's (ABIM) Maintenance of Certification (MOC) program.  It is the CME activity provider's responsibility to submit participant completion information to ACCME for the purpose of granting ABIM MOC credit.
 
To earn board credit, the attendee must participate in the CME activity including the evaluation component.  By participating in this event and requesting board credit, I understand that my learner completion data will be shared with the ACCME and the applicable certifying board(s).
