The course serves two primary goals; teach participant sufficient R and RStudio basic to perform GWAS analysis using packages implemented in the R software. The workshop presents fundamental concepts and specific R software tools for implementing a complete GWAS analysis, as well as post-analytic visualization and interrogation of potentially novel findings.

Highlights:

  • Using a single statistical programming platform (R) that runs on all three major computing platforms (Windows, Macs and Linux)
  • The analysis can be performed in a modern laptop computer system with 8 GB of RAM.
