Tyrosine kinase inhibitor demonstrates much more effective clearing of peripheral blasts than bone marrow blast. My research focuses on understanding molecular and metabolic mechanisms of bone marrow stromal cell mediated protection from killing effect of tyrosine kinase inhibitor-based therapy for leukemia. My goal is to identify novel additional drug targets for an effective combinatorial therapy.
