Dr. Pauley joined the Pediatric Clinic at the Barbara Davis Center in August 2023 as a physician scientist with a focus in type 1 diabetes (T1D). Her research interests include screening for and early detection of T1D and associated complications, especially neurologic and cognitive complications of T1D. She is an investigator in the Autoimmunity Screening for Kids (ASK) program and closely collaborates with the Coronary Artery Calcification in Type 1 Diabetes (CACTI) study at Barbara Davis Center and the SEARCH for Diabetes in Youth (SEARCH) study at the Lifecourse Epidemiology of Adiposity & Diabetes (LEAD) Center, both at University of Colorado. She has received a National Physician Scientist “Diabetes-Docs” K12 Scholar Award and a Colorado Pilot (CO-Pilot) Grant Award to support this work.
