Entry Clinical Science Professionals perform clinical research-related functions which may include patient-oriented research or research conducted with human subjects. Patient-oriented research includes mechanisms of human disease, therapeutic interventions, clinical trials, or the development of new technologies. Entry Clinical Science Professionals may also assist with epidemiologic and behavioral studies and/or outcomes research and health services research.

The Adult and Child Center for Outcomes Research and Delivery Science (ACCORDS) has an opening for a part-time (50%) up to a full-time (100% effort) bilingual (English/Spanish) Research Services Entry Clinical Science Professional to work for an NIH-funded project focused on addressing disparities in early childhood obesity in low-income Latino populations.  Work with an established team to collect data using surveys, home visits, accelerometry, diaries, and anthropometrics.

Biostatistics & Analytics Core Director

The Adult and Child Center for Outcomes Research and Delivery Science (ACCORDS) and the Division of Health Policy and Research, Department of Medicine at the University of Colorado seek a faculty member with expertise in biostatistics and health-related research experience.  Candidates should be at the level of Associate or Full Professor or equivalent. This faculty position will have their academic affiliation in the Division of Health Care Policy and Research in the Department of Medicine and will lead a well-established Biostatistics & Analytics Core in ACCORDS.  Specific areas of interest include expertise in pragmatic trials, step-wedge designs, longitudinal data, causal inference, cluster-randomized trials, and analysis of electronic health records.

The Accountant/Finance Specialist supports ACCORDS finance functions which include entering invoices, submitting requisitions for purchase orders, processing procurement and travel reports and processing purchases on behalf of the professional research assistants and principal investigators. This individual will act as a resource for the Center and will be expected to work independently, as well as collaboratively with ACCORDS Principal Investigators and the grant team on financial processes. The Accountant/Finance Specialist will provide exceptional customer service to our PIs and program managers and is an integral part in furthering the mission of the Center.

Post-Doctoral Fellow - Colorado Program for Patient-Centered Decisions

A two-year postdoctoral fellowship opportunity is available at the University of Colorado Anschutz Medical Campus. The position sits within the Colorado Program for Patient-Centered Decisions (CPPCD) as part of the Adult & Child Center for Outcomes Research & Delivery Science (ACCORDS). The CPPCD is led by a multidisciplinary team of established researchers focused on shared decision-making and patient-centered care. Researchers at CPPCD conduct studies to promote informed medical decisions, e.g. about cancer screening, the implementation of cardiac devices, end-of-life care, and hospice. Our research examines the psychological aspects of health decision-making, including risk communication and the influence of emotions and motivations on patients’ medical decisions. The fellowship in CPPCD provides advanced training to health services researchers and clinicians and prepares fellows for positions in academic medicine. The CPPCD postdoctoral fellow collaborates on established projects and is encouraged to conduct independent research with an emphasis on manuscript writing and grant submission. Qualitative Assistant or Associate Professor

The Adult and Child Center for Outcomes Research and Delivery Science (ACCORDS) at the University of Colorado Anschutz Medical Campus seeks a full-time Assistant or Associate Research Professor. This position is within the Qualitative and Mixed Methods Research Core within ACCORDS, and thus requires health-related research experience and expertise in qualitative and mixed methods research. Specific areas of interest include in-depth and key informant interviews and focus group methods as well as expertise in qualitative and mixed methods research design, data collection, analysis, and interpretation. The successful candidate will be a methodologist in the ACCORDS Qualitative and Mixed Methods Core and have opportunities to collaborate with over 70 ACCORDS affiliated faculty and other health services researchers from the Schools of Medicine, Pharmacy and Pharmaceutical Sciences, Public Health, Dental Medicine and the College of Nursing.
