Dr. Oser is Associate Professor and Director of the High Plains Research Network in the Department of Family Medicine at the University of Colorado School of Medicine. She is a graduate of the University of Pittsburgh School of Medicine and did her residency at UPMC, Shadyside. She has clinical expertise in many practice settings, and currently sees a diverse patient population of all ages in a rural Federally Qualified Health Center. She has a breadth of experience in a varied array of primary care settings, having also practiced in suburban and inner city environments spanning various practice models. As Director of the High Plains Research Network (HPRN), she leads a practice-based research network that consists of rural primary care practices, hospitals, health care facilities, and communities located in rural eastern Colorado. Her research focuses on chronic disease management, the value of online peer support communities in self-management of diabetes, as well as use of diabetes technologies in primary care.
